A good hire for AD

Postby Sam I Am » Sun Mar 26, 2006 12:40 am

The new AD has good experience in Dallas that should help SMU. I am encouraged by his hiring. I wonder if he will do what the A&M AD did after he was hired when he let R.C. Slocom go for not wining enough in football, and brought in winning BB coaches for the men and women's programs.

I'm absolutely blown away by the write-ups about this guy.
I'm as excited about his arrival in June as I am about coming up in a couple of weeks for the Red/Blue game. Apples and oranges, I realize, but this guy has be extremely fired up.

From the tidbits I've heard, this guy sounds really promising. I thin it's an exciting hire and a good fit for SMU. I hope he hits the ground running and gets people's attention.

Orsini is an excellent choice. He will demand a positive attitude around here toward rebuilding SMU athletics and Coaches will have to succeed !

I heard about an athletic department employee who was thinking about a possible job hunt, a thought which often arises any time you get a new boss. That employee supposedly is so excited about Orsini that the forthcoming job hunt was called off. Enthusiasm on the rise?
Love it!

I would think/hope he would "clean house". That would be best for everyone concerned.
