Coach King has a Florida background and I see that USF, FAU, FGCU and plenty of mid-majors have offered Smith. Hopefully he can develop and become a contributor down the road

Agreed. Would still like to see Wade Taylor decide to play close to home or even better, for Harrison Ingram to shock the recruiting world and decide to stay home in Dallas, but with Turner leaving, I suspect SMU's chances just went from slim to nonemustangxc wrote:Nice piece for a large class. Hopefully Smith & Phelps can come in and play right away at this level. Would love to have a group of backcourt players who could compete together for 3-4 years. Love the fact that both are 6'3".

We're not getting 4 & 5 star guys that everyone wants, so it's important that guys are able to play together for 3-4 years and hopefully all improve year after year.
