Clark had retired from basketball last fall after having difficulty returning from a knee injury, per the Waco Tribune-Herald.

Has one year of eligibility remaining.

Highlights from 2019-20 before his injury.

Looks very steady and creative, mid-range and in. Good shot blocker. Seems like much of his success going forward will be how fully he has healed from the knee injury that eventually led to him walking away from the game. According to many published reports, he spent last year rehabbing and clearing his head, deciding if he wanted to play again. During rehab, he reported that he can now run and jump again without pain or swelling.

Clark & Anei could make it pretty difficult for our opponents to score in the paint.

I hope for the best. But if he were healthy, he would not be leaving.

Maybe that’s the story line, but it may also be that Baylor simply didn’t have a place for him, had moved on, reasonably thinking he was done.

If he had never suffered from injuries he probably would not be leaving. Given the circumstances I think he wanted a clean start. I think Tyson Jolly is a similar case.
