hell yes, lets have what they know so far.[/quote]
You already know what they know so far. Everything thats been found so far was in the last DMN article.

The University is not going to fire Tubbs over hamburgers and laundry detergent. There is obviously something more to the story than we have been told.
Several of my friends know Max Williams and one played with him at SMU. Anyone that knows him speaks extremely high of him and his standards. According to them, he has never taken a drink, loves SMU and conducts himself in a highly professional mannner. They assure me that this has nothing to do with his grandson, or playing time (he injured and operated on during the season). This unfortunately is Tubbs problem.
If was a simple hamburger it would have never been sent outside the university.

If thats the case, the guy is crawling out on a major limb right away. He better have a way of smoothing this over or smu will be a pariah in South Dallas for the next 15 years.
I thought we already were pariahs?
Just my two cents.

If he loves SMU so much, why didn't he keep his mouth shut over a little lunch money? That guy can kiss mine.

I agree. I'm not going to claim to have good inside sources, but from what I have heard, this isn't over a burger and laundry detergent.

According to my friends..."it was not lunch money and Max didn't talk, he did go to Copeland. Nor would he accept any proposed recruiting program that would not be beneficial to the university." I suspect any talking was done by Copeland's illustrious staff at the AD.

Sorry to be vague. But, this involves two individuals and their families, our coach and former player and important alum. I've been burned before repeating gossip. Common sense suggests this is more than hamburgers.

Well, my recollection from the article in the morning news that first named Max Williams is that he reported Tubbs for violations involving accepting money to buy players a meal. And I believe he was quoted. In any event, it sounds like he "talked" to me.
And if he has a problem with an alleged dirty recruiting program he'd do well to remember his grandson was a beneficiary of it.
