They won't because they're too far to the left to take on Texas schools. Wasnt there a time when they considered OU, Texas, Tech and Okie State and they still didn't even make an offer. The PAC is easily the weakest of the P5 and don't see their TV contract holding up.Mexmustang wrote:What happens if the PAC finally get its act together and offer both TCU and SMU? The two of us have a great deal to offer, including 12 games in the Central time zones.

Not all schools in the PAC are all that liberal. I agree, we may object, but add two more less liberal universities to Arizona, Utah, WSU, Arizona State and the politics may start to balance.
But the real issue is TV money. Two DFW schools would provide the opportunity to have 8-10 noon kick offs, then followed by a 4:OO PM kick offs, followed by a 7{00 PM schedule for the PAC every season.
While you are probably correct, either the PAC expands or it dies. SMU and SoCal are sister Methodist Universities, with relatively small impact from our original foundations. In fact, SMU has more Catholic students than Methodist at this point. Something to consider.
