Good for North Texas, an obvious step up for them and should be good for the program. However, SMU and the AAC should be embarrassed for adding Charlotte and UNT. I donΓÇÖt get it at all.

Yup agree with that. Big win for them and big loss for us assuming no future invite.
That's why I wanted to see the source. Remember private US don't have to disclose salaries and we probably did pay Sonny pretty cheap given he was an analyst. However this extension probably got him $2.5MM.

Wasn't that family weekend? Generally thats our highest attended game since students are most likely x3 since their mom and dad are there at the minimum. Homecoming is usually next but was lower than expected.
If I remember NTCC barely brought fans and didn't even bring their obnoxious band. Also it didn't feel that well attended compared to Thursday with many 1 or 2 thousand more people.
Attendance is an issue but I don't see these teams doing jack **** to add interest. We need to be playing P5 teams to do that.
I Think that UNT, UTSA, and Rice will help attendance. The rest probably not. Navy, Memphis, and Tulsa probably help. Tulane would in a good time slot if they were doing well. No one else in the conference helps. I agree that our old SWC rivals would help attendance, but no one other than TCU and Houston will play us.

Ok stop the doom and gloom. SMU has played every former SWC school, but one, post-1995.
