FAU now up 28-10 on UTEP. They might be a good addition to the AAC. They sure put a whipping on us 2 years ago in Boca Raton Bowl

Sadly this might be why the big money donors aren't too keen on an extension yet. When you step back and look at this team, it screams mediocrity. We barely or soundly beat losing record teams but when we go up against an above average team, we are made fools because we can only play a max of 3 quarters.

Other top 25 losses to see how things shake up:

1) #21 San Diego State loses to Fresno St 30-20
2) Miss St beats #12 Kentucky 31-17
3) Wisconsin beats #9 Iowa 27-7

So while I think they will knock us out, they will have to reshuffle the board all over again.

Coming into this season I figured they would be the team most likely to beat us in Ford Stadium. Now I see them as our best shot at one of the 3 departing for the Big XII

UAB beats La Tech 52-38. We should not kid ourselves about the future AAC being "beneath us". SMU will have a tough time winning championships in the future AAC. UAB, UTSA & FAU look like programs that will be competitive immediately

4-4 Charlotte beat 3-5 Rice 31-24 in OT here in Charlotte today. Those are two teams SMU ought to be able to handle when they come into the AAC
