Best we can hope for as a program for the next 5-10 years is a solid place at the top of the conference. We need to make multiple conf championship games and win at least one before we will see any true progress beyond where we are now.

I enjoy beating TCU and getting the rare victory like Houston in 2016, but it just looks like our trajectory is flatlined until we can be consistent top 3 in conference. We cant win the essential ones like this past weekend or Memphis in 2019. Would be absolutely shocked if we beat Cincinnati. No bowl win since 2012!

Someone made the point that none of the teams we've beat this year have winning records. Kinda makes the ranking irrelevant in macro view of the program.

Hope Dykes stays in Dallas. I've read that SD makes around $3M a year. Would you give him $4M?

I'd give him $6M before setting aside a $3M gameday musician budget as suggested on another thread.
