This is the 10th meeting between SMU and UCF, with the Knights holding the 8-1 all-time advantage. UCF won the most recent meeting, a 48-20 decision in 2018. SMU's lone win came at home in 2011 (38-17).

UCF is riding a three-game win streak coming into Saturday's match-up and sits at 6-3 overall and 4-2 in conference action. The Knights are coming off a 14-10 win over Tulane.

They’ve owned *everybody.* UCF has been a national powerhouse over the last decade, including arguably a national championship. Very few P5 teams would hesitate to trade for the the success UCF has seen. This is for sure the year to beat them, though.

UCF played in a BCS bowl and two New Year's Day Six bowls, and their irreverence toward the power structure in college football made waves through a 25-game win streak in the College Football Playoff era.

UCF has come a long ways since their 0-12 season in 2015. I had forgotten they once played in the MAC and posted an 0-11 season in 2004 giving George O'Leary two O-fers during his time there
