So - 46 + 20 is 66 divided by 2 is 33 Mustangs

And 24 plus 4o is 64 divided by 2 is 32 Cinci.

SMU wins.

Great data @ SMUvet... through those lenses I like our chances... the road game may slide things in the favor of Cinci but I think it's closer than folks think... we need to control their run game which appears to be the strength of their offense and play clean with the ball and we have a chance.

SMU 27, Cinci 21

P.S. As an Ohio native and Buckeye by birth and upbringing I do wish Cinci had a clear path to the playoffs but when it comes down to it my first loyalty is with my SMU family.

You could make a case (and a good one) that SMU has one of the best Defenses that Cin has played against this year (Notre Dame did give up a lot of points to FSU and Toledo, just like we did vs. La Tech, TCU and Hou).

I think that the SMU D will step up just enough and carry this team to a hard fought W in Cincy.

Native Buckeye as well plus my h.s. fball coach is a hall of fame legend at cincy. IIRC he earned 11 varsity letters there in a multiple of sports but was most noted for his fball..

What happens when we beat Cincy and then they lose their next game to ECU?

ECU and SMU would have same conference record with no head to head.

SMU, Cin, ECU and perhaps UCF would all tie for second (assuming we TCB v Tulsa)

Would SMU get into Conference Champ game vs Hou due to SMU's W over UCF? (who ECU lost to)

A Las Vegas book is giving us 13 points with an O/U of 65 1/2.

That seems a like a good bet for us.

Maybe I'm crazy but ...

Vintage Reggie Roberson Jr performance and UB IV / Siggers do more damage than expected.

38-31 SMU.

I just want one of our WR to score on Sauce Gardner. I keep seeing the stat he has given up 0 TD in his career. I would love to see him get his 1 (or 2 or 3) against us.

We were close last year despite the fact that we were without RR. Their defense is still stellar. Their offense is still very good. I think that their offense is better than our defense. Based on that, I think we lose this one 35-21. But it will get clinched late.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

The crowd is going to be in play more than any other game we have played. We have to take the crowd out of the game early.
