Dunno, but the post game pics of team Dykes sure seemed to speak a lot. I won't be surprised when Sonny moves on, but I don't see tcu as the move that he makes now.

Check out the recruiting page. In Nov. we have commitments from two more local players. Good ones. Do you think that happens when they think the coach is leaving?

We all want out university to do well. Better players, Better conference, More Fans etc... I don't have the cash to move the program up but I also don't want to spread negativity.

Go Mustang and talk about the good. two new commits!

SMU is not, as has been discussed many times .. is not a destination job typically. However, a long term play for awhile, or the right spot (destination) for the right person ... I think so. Sonny just might be that guy.

- Vastly improved facilities. The Admin has offered more in these recent talks
- Very Competitive pay, and we have exceeded his ask during these recent talks. Along with significant increase in $$ available for his coaches during recent talks
- SD has been a Rock Star with the Transfer Portal. I don't see that changing.
- Attracting a higher quality recruit, and keeping more local talent. Or at the very least, legitimately competing for them. It's Dallas, and the surrounding area, who does not love that. SD and family love the area.
- Program is trending up ... no doubt. Getting AP love these last few years. SD can be our Messiah.
- I think SMU will be a P5 invite in the near future, and I think SD believes that
- SD remembers his Cal tenure. At SMU, he can walk .. sort-of, on water right now as he continues to build. IDK that I want to follow Paterson at TCU. Although SD would be a breath of fresh air there.
- Fans and players love and respect him
- Fans, (butts in the seats), is always going to be a challenge for SMU IMO. But, I think SD can sell and recruit against that ... I do. He has started a mentor program of past players (recent) coming around the program meeting and speaking with these guys. All of whom think they are going pro, but as we know, most will not. Powerful to hear from a guy who had success on the field ... and now because of his SMU time, and connections, is a success in the real world for the rest of his life.

All to say, I think there is a good chance he stays ... worse case 50-50 IMO. SD is not JJ. The fact that other programs are asking and he maybe listening, does not make him a traitor. Especially if he showing up and putting out, which it appears to me that he is.

What PSCA said.

I think Sonny is a gentleman. Like people used to be taught to be.
