Tulsa game

Post by Charleston Pony »

Sitting at 5-6, this game is big for Tulsa as they need the win to become bowl eligible. I seem to recall SMU going to Tulsa in Sonny's 1st full season needing a win to be bowl eligible only to come up short. For SMU, our guys still have a chance to go undefeated at Ford this year and depending on our bowl opponent, these guys can still win 10 games. Which SMU team shows up next week?

We need Danny Gray back. But I think both lines return to their domineering ways and TM settles down. So hopefully back to business for the Mustangs. Unless there are more coaching distractions in which case who knows.

If the team that isn't prepared/doesn't compete shows up, there is a new movie on the Hallmark Channel "An Unexpected Christmas" - A speech writer makes a deal with his ex-girlfriend to pretend they're a couple to save his family's Christmas. It's not long before both the ruse and their feelings catch up with them. Stars Bethany Joy Lenz, Tyler Hynes.

I enjoyed watching Hallmark movie reruns yesterday a lot more than trying to watch our game.

Unfortunately, I agree. SMU has nothing to play for in this game and with Sonny's future still up in the balance I expect us to come out flat just like we did against Houston, Memphis and Cincy. If thats the case, going up against a motivated Tulsa team who played Ohio State and OSU tough, I would not be surprised if we drop another one.

Another in a long line of used car salesman college football coaches…I have turned on him fairly quickly, after being a supportive, pro-Sonny guy. But, you just don’t manage things in this way…I get it, but what a disaster this continues to be. I think we beat Tulsa, but what a major downer the last 4-5 weeks have been. Thanks, Coach.

Bus, wiith respect. if he were staying I believe he would have said so and put all the rumors to rest. Too much smoke not to be a fire.

Rumor from an « insider » told me SD told the team this morning....if that is true, it would be out by now. Whatever, he’s gone. Let’s get a cool, young offensive minded type in here, retain Samples, send Levitt to some sort of secondary seminar and keep this thing moving.
