The upgrade that did not happen was a move to the Big XII Conference. We simply need to keep elevating SMU athletics. Dykes was better than Morris and we need his replacement to be even better. We also need to make a move in men's basketball so that we can compete for a spot in the NCAA tournament. Until we get a new coach, that will not happen and is very important too! We really need a new AD as it starts at the top.

If this coaching move happens, we shouldn't be mad at SD but instead disappointed in the Athletics Dept who let it happen, by not thinking long-term and providing the upgrades that SD must have wanted. Of course, I have no inside information but something did not happen to prevent our head coach from being poached by our main historical rival. I'm afraid this may mean that we will continually be on a 4 -5 year cycle of replacing coaches, either fired for losing or poached by a more glamorous football school if a winning record.

He got an indoor practice facility and top notch locker rooms. This fire Rick Hart stuff is hare brained. We have some of the nicest facilities in the G5. Sonny and his staff also had top notch salaries and he was given every tool to exceed minus fan support. No one to blame but Sonny, F him and beer gut self. I agree with this but it using the word simple. Nothing simple about it when it all so illusory.
