SMU: Justin Willis confirmed his status as SMU's No. 1 quarterback by passing for 160 yards and leading the Red team to a 34-3 win in the Red-Blue game at Ford Stadium.
Willis, who will be a redshirt freshman in the fall, was 16-of-21 passing and scored on a 6-yard option keeper. He led the Red team, which had more of the first-teamers, on three scoring drives.
"He's done it all spring," coach Phil Bennett said. "I'm impressed by the way he handles things. He has a calmness in what he does."
