With so many seniors moving on, Lashlee will need a strong staff that can attract players via the transfer portal. Hopefully most of the guys who transferred in and still have more eligibility will choose to stay on at SMU

we really need an outstanding DC and assts. to strengthen and rebuild our D. Last few games it was obvious how porous it was.

For DC, I've heard Joyner or Blake Baker (now at LSU, previously Miami and LaTech DC).

For OC, I heard Kodi Burns WR Coach at Tennessee, played at Auburn

Why in the world wouldn't we go get Peveto. We want former Mustangs back here and he is proven both as both a DC (look what he did with UTEP this year!) and as a recruiter. I am biased, I admit, but it just makes sense.

You know any angry German's in comfort that want to dust off the DC whistle?

If I could hunt during the week and show up for games on the weekends and fish during the spring and not have to recruit, I might could be bought!

Some of Junes assistants may have had that schedule. I guess you will just have to keep teaching Lonesome Dove...

What happened to Leavitt? I didn't see his name on the list of ones departing.

Unless he has some personal tie to Lashlee, it would be hard to imagine him staying. I'd heard he's out, and assume that to be true.

That would be the norm, with the exception of "getting rid of" guys you would have considered firing anyways
