Re: Brian Kelly to LSU
The Athletic reported that LSU is offering Kelly a 10-year deal that's worth around $100 million, and it includes incentives. CBS Sports reported that Kelly's contract will be about $15 million a year, meaning his full contract is worth $115 million.
Kelly signed an extension to his contract in 2020, according to Sports Illustrated, which is currently believed to be set at $2.67 million annually.

You see LR's benefits? INSANE.
Go Frogs! Pony Up!

Best idea I have seen
CFP Semi-finals
Cincinnati vs ND
Winner gets Fickell

This why programs like SMU, Notre Dame, OU will never be big time. Coaches just use them as resume builders waiting for something else to come along. Saban has been rumored to go to La Tech. Time to make the jump!

How is that a good idea? Cincinnati already beat Notre Dame at Notre Dame!

Re: Brian Kelly to LSU
The longer the search for ND takes the more likely it could be Fickell. He won't leave UC until after they finish playing. Not sure ND wants to take that long
Re: Brian Kelly to LSU
ND and Fickell can have an agreement if people can keep their mouths shut. But ND needs a coach for early signing period.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Brian Kelly to LSU
Where does LSU get the money? I lived in an elegant sorority house on the lake at LSU but the rest of the campus was ... kind of tacky.
Re: Brian Kelly to LSU
ND definitely has the cash to get Fickel or the Iowa State Coach.

Re: Brian Kelly to LSU
Is there anyone else who feels College Football issues are now more challenging with $10+m / year incomes for Head Coaches with their million dollar assistants?
The gap between the haveΓÇÖs and have notΓÇÖs will be worse, including members within the same P5 conference. If our answer is to cash our donors checks, there will be limit at some point.
Building men and educating them, while finding revenue to pay and getting them NIL licenses, might help us. But, the future of college football isnΓÇÖt healthy.

100% agree. Have to take a step back too and think these salaries are getting a little ridiculous.

Don't understand the math here. " CBS Sports reported that Kelly's contract will be about $15 million a year, meaning his full contract is worth $115 million". Ten years, $15 million a year. Isn't that $150 million?
