Fellow Ponies, good to be back after years! Excited for our football future.
Hearing that Missouri tight ends coach Casey Woods could be our OC. He was at Auburn during their NC run.

Nady and Ricker are still working.

With Ricker "still working" and yet publicly announced as a part of the TCU coaching staff...how is that not a glaring conflict of interest (operating in the same recruiting market and rivals)?
Regarding Stefan McClure potentially remaining with SMU...I like his NFL pedigree, but the corners looked very poorly coached this season. I hear he is a good recruiter. But, there is some level of coaching capability that is a bare minimum regardless of recruiting capability. If you bring in high talent, but the coaching and scheme results in poor results on the field, what's the point? Maybe another year of experience would result in something better. I know Stefan is new to coaching.

Appears he & Lashlee have a long history together. Interesting that he was serving as Missouri's recruiting coordinator. Hopefully will lead to a player or two who can come in and contribute right away.

glad he is building a staff but so far it seems it is all O. IMO we need to get the D coaches lined up and started on recruiting.

Virtually every school in Texas offered Jones. Looks like a good all purpose back. Not sure why he chose Missou

anybody else getting concerned that early signing is approaching very quickly and we have no D coaching staff in place to help recruit. Are we just packing it in for next year? We lost most of our best recruits and need to replace a lot of seniors.

early signing date is 12/15. so far we have no D coaches and no D recruiting. Please explain how we are going to win 9-10 games next year with no defense. I am beginning to think hiring an inexperienced coach was a big mistake.

Manny Diaz looks like he is on his way out as Miami's head coach. Cristobal from Oregon will likely take the UM job, announcement tomorrow. Diaz has background as DC. Wonder if Lashlee saw this coming and he'll offer his old boss a spot on the defensive staff.

thought the same thing however, Cristobal says he is staying so that complicates things. Meanwhile, we have no defensive coaches and no recruiting on that side of the ball. early signing date does not give us any time to wait for long term decisions, unless of course we don't care if we win next year or not.

The DC is still working and a majority of the remaining recruits are on the defensive side of the ball. https://247sports.com/college/smu/Seaso ... l/Commits/
