Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Threadfor the SMU coaches you might want to use the infamous Ron Meyer clear the snow for a field goal attempt.

Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadIt’s a little confusing but there are 2 Frisco bowl games this year and the FCS championship game. In tropical smoothie it’s UTSA VS SDSU AND the Frisco Classic (new for 2021) is UNT vs Miami (oh).
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Thread
Huge Dolphin fan as a kid - the Patriots org has been cheating for years.
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadThis is a nice matchup with an ACC team with some national appeal. I like it.
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Thread
The unt/Miami game is the extra bowl the NCAA created so all 6 win teams would get a bowl game. I thought better names would have been NOT the Frisco Bowl The Bowl With NO NAME
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadAny information yet for SMU tickets and/or the team hotel?
Thinking of making the trip. Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Thread
Traveling to and from Boston from DFW between Christmas and New Years will be a nightmare though. Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadI like this match up. Playing a P5 academic oriented institution is what we need to continue to pursue. The Vandy hoops game the other night is one such example. Bring on Wake, Northwestern, Cal, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Duke, NC, Geo Tech, ND, etc. #BEAT the Wahoos!
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Thread
Flights are ridiculous right now.
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadJust checked. Little Rock to Boston in $900 RT
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Thread
I got an official email yesterday and already reserved tickets and booked flights for a crew of 8 going up. It will be a good time in Boston and an opportunity to showcase how well SMU turns out to the ACC. I hope everyone that doesn't have plans already that can show up does so for this team and to show we belong in a Power 5 conference. #Beat Clemson
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadAround $800 RT from DFW to Boston, leaving the 28th and returning on the 30th. That also equates to 80K FF miles.
Not sure how much cheaper a discount airline would be. May have to sit this one out and leave it to our NE Ponyfans to represent in person. Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadI'm priced out of this bowl game due to plane tickets. I wish we had been told we were playing in Boston a week earlier. It probably would have made a huge difference with plane tickets. If any uber-wealthy alum in the Houston area has an open seat on the private plane please let me know!

Re: Fenway Bowl: Official ThreadIt would cost my wife and I at least $2500 to go. Just cant justify it
Re: Fenway Bowl: Official Thread$500 round trip, AmTrak business class from DC leaving 28th late and coming home late on 29th. Coach more like $350.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
