Does it really help us in any way? Seems like cramming it into the schedule at this point would only hurt performance in another already scheduled game that we will need to win.
I suppose that a split with Memphis or Houston at end of year could create a scenario where we would want this game for possible conference title and AAC tourney seeding.
Heh, I was thinking the same thing, would make much more sense to schedule a game with UNT, that would give both teams a chance for a resume boosting win. Playing Wichita at home has much more risks than rewards. The league will probably want us to play it though so the conference games for all teams are equal.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

Over in twitterverse someone else posted their brackets and it had us as a 12 seed playing Tennessee in the first round. Love those 12/5 match ups.

What a difference a week makes.
Lunardi has us in as an 11 as the automatic qualifier.
Houston is a 4 and Memphis is first team out.
Hopes for a three-bid league?

Definitely trending the right way. Need to take care of business in Philadelphia tomorrow night. Was a little surprised to hear Jank disclose that the team is talking about wanting to be ranked. You usually just get coach speak but it sounds like the guys are now playing with a chip on their shoulders

Interesting psychological tactic. The team has certainly been unrankable but maybe things will change after Wednesday!

I think that has to do with the fact that the team received votes in the latest poll. The goal is within reach so he was willing to say it out loud and doing so puts pressure on the team to perform in Philadelphia tomorrow night and against Memphis at home on Sunday. They better bring it!

Having lost the automatic qualifier designation while leading the conference, Lunardi has us back to "first four out" in today's update.
Good to see we are still near the top of the bubble!

It’s been a fun year. I mean, this is why you play the game. Beat Memphis!

Lunardi’s bracket as of the timing of the post above (and still as of this post) is from Feb 18th, FYI. I suspect after Joe updates his bracket it will be different with respect to Memphis, and likely for SMU as well.

No, Lunardi updated his bracket on twitter after our game and still had us out.
