Wichita State Game Will Not be Made Up

Per a statement from Rick Hart.

Unless there are some certain rules or allowances I am not aware of, this could really hurt SMU.

Say SMU wins out in the regular season, they would be 14-3. Houston wins every game except against SMU and finishes 15-3.

I would assume Houston would be the conference champion because they have a better winning percentage than SMU, even though SMU beat them twice. That would really stink!

WSU should be forced to forfeit since the original date was wiped out due to their COVID. That is how it was going to work within the AAC until the omicron variant started spreading wildly.

I still do not see why the game could not be made up early in the week before the conference tournament. WSU will be in town anyway for the tournament. We need that W to boost our win total and also give us the full slate of 18 conference games.

We need to force them to play, or forfeit.
