VIDEO: SMU men's basketball head coach Tim Jankovich, forward Stefan Todorovic and guards Michael Weathers and Emmanuel Bandoumel met the media after the Mustangs completed their season sweep of Tulsa with a 75-61 victory at Moody Coliseum. Among the topics addressed: the injury to Zhuric Phelps, the technical fouls and scuffle that broke out in the game's final minute, and how the Mustangs will prepare for Sunday's rematch at Houston.

Michael is hilarious at the 1:45 mark. All these players seem like very good guys. I think their positive nature is a tribute to them and will serve them well in basketball and beyond.

Yes, the portal is the way of the future. I think TCU's roster is made up of 8 transfers, much like ours. SMU can assert itself as a good transfer destination like in football and we will be in great shape for years to come.

Chemistry and coaching become critically important. This year's group is a good one
I liked Band as well. I love the way he shot himself out of his cold start, he couldn't throw it in the ocean in the first half, but then couldn't miss in the second half. I loved his "FINALLY" reaction and body language after finally getting his first three to drop after multiple misses. After that though, it was nothing but net the rest of the way.
And then there is Todorovic. In limited action, he's hitting 46% of his threes which of course are the majority of his FG attempts, by far the team leader percentage wise

He will also be playing a bit more while Phelps is out.
