Thats all I can say about Orsini coming in to do the new coach hire....we can't trust Copeland to get it right, I am extremely relieved that Orisini is coming to D/FW to do this.
Regardless of the circumstances surrounding Tubbs' firing, the fact that Orsini is coming in to do this says a lot to the public about the changing of the guard as well as is a testament to what I hope is a great commitment on Orsini's part to the university

i was thrilled with the Orsini hire. But even if he wasnt here yet, he already deserves some blame for how the tubbs thing went down. Even from Orlando, if you know the landscape in Dallas, you cant let misinformation fester if thats what it is.

You're right. We need to get a blame "score card" going. I feel fo out of the loop when I don't know who to blame for [deleted]. Also, I would like to blame myself for not thinking about blaming our AD who will come on board in a month or so. Placing some/all of the blame for every single thing that happens is an important part of being a Mustang fan and sometimes I just forget to do it. What is the opposite of "blame"... I've forgotten.

no, lets blame the guys who mention anything you dont like. Orsini did not create this mess, but the day he was hired it became his mess all the same.

What mess? We get a chance to upgrade our coach through an upgraded AD, and dodge a big NCAA sanction at the same time. We finally figured out how not to handle an NCAA investigation.

Anybody care to possibly save a little blame for Tubbs?

Don't be silly. That would be like blaming the student for his bad grades.

We'll have it -- or not have it -- soon. Until then, let's preserve our hamstrings.

No that would be like blaming the student for eating burgers and washing clothes.

you know what we will probably get? Some he said/she said allegation that cannot be proven or disproven. Thats why Williams motives are so important to understand here.

Yeah, I will save a little blame for him. Take a look at that two year record! The reason he was hired (besides being blackmailed by the DISD coaches) was that he would bring immediate improvement to the team, and the star local kids would come. Where was the fierce rim to rim, man to man coverage we were promised? The teams freethrow percentage blew, and the turnovers seemed to get WORSE as the season went along! The offense? was like watching paint dry. Two recruiting classes, produced a big ZERO for local signings. JT is a great guy, and I wish him the best, but let's remain hopeful Orsini is going to get this ship righted!

he did bring immediate improvement to that disaster he inherited. Only an idiot would have expected him to get blue chips recruits immediately or else. What world do you people live in?

You moron, go ahead and be a revisionist. There is nothing we can change now, I am going to move on and hope for something positive.
