Guy could recruit pretty well. He has not been considered for many jobs recently. Maybe he is not a hot commodity or maybe he likes his TV gig. SoCal or LA want to comment on his credentials?

he's a good analyst, but he would never come here in a million years. Probably because his analytical skills are so good.

Thanks for the analysis.
The knock on Lavin was that he could recruit talented players, but he never developed the talent. He just rolled the ball out onto the court and let the kids play.
I may be wrong, but I don't think he has lived outside of California ever.

For what it's worth, if we are considering analysts, I think we could do worse than Pepper Brooks...

The Blog's site shows a blurb from FOXSW that mentions Matt Doherty. I would much prefer him to Lavin if we are looking for a high profile guy.

Is this the same Matt Doherty that had a revolt by the entire UNC basketball team? I still take him over the 95 year old high school coach that I expect us to hire.

This is the same coach that recruited a team that won the national championship...yes it is.
I miss Troy Matthews.

Lavin is the worst analyst in college basketball. Do you ever hear him? He is always wrong!!! Always!
Matt is down at FAU, correct? Decent recruiter (not hard to do at UNC) but horrible coach!! Horrible.
