Re: Transfer Portal
So far, only Kendric has hit the portal. With Jahmar Young out and Williamson in, still lots of work for Lanier & staff to fill out next year's roster. Sure would like to hear that Kendric and Bandoumel have decided to stay and help deliver one more year of Moody Magic

I always felt Lundblade had a talent that was underused by Yank.

I wish Tyler all the best.
That said, he was a typical Jank recruit. Offers from SMU, Cornell, Charlotte and FIU.
If our goal is to win Championships, we need to improve our game.

Re: Transfer Portal
I will miss Davis, Bandoumel, and likely Anamekwe and Cisse. The others are probably opportunities to improve the team. So far we have downgraded with the SG from Marist. Here's hoping we land some players to upgrade the roster or it could be a very long season.

Re: Transfer Portal
You forgetting former five star national top 20 recruit Sam Williams? He might be an upgrade. Regardless, give the new coach some time to do his thing. And take an anti-depressant, will you?

Re: Transfer Portal
How do you miss two players who ever even put on a uniform for SMU?

Sounds like a leftover case of Jankitis to me.mrydel wrote:How do you miss two players who ever even put on a uniform for SMU?
But I do think three established Longhorn football players for one incoming freshman hoopster is a pretty fair trade.

I missed a word. It should read "...and likely regret the de-commitments of..."mrydel wrote:How do you miss two players who ever even put on a uniform for SMU?
I won't lament our outgoing players when we have a full competitive roster to show for it. The addition of the kid from Marist is a typical Jankovich signing from his years of atrocious recruiting. Jankovich would have been crucified for it by people like you. So far I am not excited about the upcoming season at all. I hope that changes soon with some strong commitments. The ones we have landed so far were highly touted kids who vastly underachieved so far in their previous stops and we lost our top 4 players.sadderbudweiser wrote:Sounds like a leftover case of Jankitis to me.

Re: Transfer Portal
Looks like we just landed Keon Ambrose-Hylton from Alabama. We did need a PF so it is a position of need. Hopefully he pans out. Now we need a PG.

Re: Transfer Portal
Lanier offered him out of H.S. and presumably has stayed in touch? Still plenty of solid PGs in the portal. How nice would it be to land Tyrese Hunter to go along with Xavier Foster?mustangxc wrote:Looks like we just landed Keon Ambrose-Hylton from Alabama. We did need a PF so it is a position of need.
