See him tweeting about his Memphis visit and has the tiger fans excited.
I see this as revenge on SMU for forcing Jank out.
Ultimately, I think he lands at a Big12 or ACC school, he needs the elevated conference competition to take his game up a notch.
I don't think it is revenge on anything. I think there is a good percentage chance that he gets drafted, and he is actually helping SMU out by allowing us to go and recruit at the position instead of being in limbo.
Kendric is going to go out and find whatever opportunity pays him best - NBA, G League, Europe or NCAA. Good for him, I hope the best for him and his family.

Ditto. Hope it works out well for K.D. If he does return to school, I hope he gets a nice NIL deal and gets to play for a team that has an opportunity to go deep in the NCAA tournament giving him a chance to showcase his skills as a PG

x2. And, IΓÇÖm not convinced the door is closed coming back to SMU. If heΓÇÖs not drafted highly anyone in his shoes would want an opportunity to go deep in the tourney. Perhaps if we can lock in 1 or 2 more high level transfers - especially at least one big - heΓÇÖll consider us as a contender to do damage in the tourney.
Regardless, I wish him well and weΓÇÖre headed for good things.
Quite a few stories in the Memphis Biz Journal and Daily Memphian about KD going to Memphis. Fans editorials and comments show their elevated level of excitement....they think they are in the lead for him. This would irritate me.
IΓÇÖm strangely fine with whatever KD decides to do. I got a strong sense it was over for him here when we missed the Tourney. I wish him well - one of the greatest ever to don an SMU jersey.

That wonΓÇÖt surprise me in the least. If he goes out of state I think itΓÇÖs there. And it wouldnΓÇÖt be the first time he played for a coach who loves to wear Kansas gear.
I just want Lanier to find another 6'3" or 6'4" PG who plays strong defense in case we have to play against Kendric next year. He struggled against guards with length so I just hope we can make it miserable for him if he returns to Moody wearing a visitor's uniform. Zhuric is a terrific defender but I want more like him so our team can wear out opposing guards.
If Kendric wants to finish his career in Houston, I'm pulling for the Cougars. They could have enough talent to make a deep run in the NCAAs and I would think playing in your hometown would have some appeal to K.D. That way, we would get to face him twice
