From Isaac Trotter 247 Sports on the "best available" players outside the Top 100 in the transfer portal:
There’s a whole lot to like about Emmanuel Bandoumel and what he could bring to a roster. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard has played a lot of college basketball throughout his career. He only has one year of eligibility remaining, but Bandoumel projects to be a very impactful wing defender who can really bring the pressure and turn you over. Boundoumel can really get out and make some fantastic plays in transition. He has elite bounce and he also shot 35.2% from 3-point range on serious volume (6.0 attempts).
Sure would be nice if E-man would decide to stay at SMU for his final season of eligibility but I wonder if he's just not been encouraged to stay?
Given our roster right now and three open scholarships I’d take him back in a NY minute. Not sure what other options he’ll have but it will be interesting to see where he turns up. I doubt it will be hereΓǪ. Just a hunch.

Nebraska was 10-22 last year. Worst record in B10, tied for last in conference play.
Very strange in deed. I guess Nebraska wanted to throw some NIL money around and Bandoumel took it. Will take a lot more than Band to improve that team, but good for him, grab some cash while you can.
He was a great player for the Mustangs and I wish him all the best.

Wouldn't go so far as to call Bandoumel a "great" player but he was good. Hope he helps Nebraska as that school has become a cellar dwellar since they moved to the Big 10 and hopefully he got a nice NIL deal.

I don’t. Can’t stand Nebraska.
Back in the Pony Express days, there was no bigger sports agent than Mike Trope. He wrote a book about the hypocrisy of college football.
In that book, Mike Trope reminded me of our beloved Ron Meyer.
On the other hand, Nebraska HC Tom Osborne came across as condescending and two-faced. And oh did they cheat.
Good luck to Bandoumel. He was a first-class, team-first guy all the way, who defended and rebounded like crazy even his shot wasn't falling. I wish he would stay, but wish him nothing but the best.
