Bryson's 2nd round did hurt but not sure he could have caught Smith even if that 74 had been the 66 he shot today. Still a Top 10 finish which has to be good for his confidence.

Meanwhile, Harry is making a little run at the Barracuda and birdied 3 of his 1st 4 holes to get within 5 points of Reavie thru 7 holes today. Austin has 6 points through 10 holes and is currently T-10th. Kelly is fading with only one birdie and a bogey and is T-35th through 13 holes

Pretty good weekend for our guys. Not that he needed the money, but Bryon finished T-8th and pocketed $325,667 for his efforts

Austin finished strong with a 5 birdie round and 9 points for a 31 point total, good for 8th place and $115,625. After a strong start, Harry faded with 3 back nine bogeys but picked up 2 points in his final round to get to 28 for the week, good for $89,725. Kelly finished T-31st and earned $21,169

All 3 of our guys are currently outside the top 125, even after removing the LIV golfers. We need Austin, Kelly, and Harry to play well these last two weeks to sneak in and get full status for next year.

Not surprising, considering he jumped to the LIV tour

Meanwhile, Austin will be the only one to make the cut and earn a check this week in Detroit. Now finished (before the leaders even tee off) at minus 5 and currently T-68th. At least he will get a check

Smotherman is dangerously close to making the Top 125 and playing in the upcoming FedEx Cup series, the golf playoffs, if you will. If he qualifies for the FedEx Cup, i would say that THAT is a pretty damn good accomplishment for a first year PGA Tour player. I think he is in (once they remove the LIV guys from the list AND he makes the cut this weekend) the Playoffs. Kraft had a decent year coming off some injuries, making 7 cuts in his last 10 events, to include a T11 a few weeks back. A top 10 this week might slide him into the Playoffs. Higgs is somewhat of an enigma, missing 5 cuts in a row this spring, and 4 of last 5. While i don't want to be that guy in saying this, it appears Harry is possibly Colt Knost 2.0, where the trappings of Tour life seem to have taken precedent over nutrition and grind it out work ethic. Who knows? Just way to much talent to be 149th in FedEx points. Oh, and PS....our own Noah Goodwin won on the PGA Tour managed Canadian Tour this weekend - -17, won by 7 shots, $35,000. PonyUP!

Austin with a 5 under 1st round is T-5th, Kelly at 4 under is T-14th and Harry at 2 under is T41st at the Wyndham in Greensboro this week. They all are probably in need of a Top 5 finish to jump into the Top 125 on this season's money list.

Smotherman leaking oil in one of the most important rounds of his young career. +3 through 10 and -2 for the tourney with the cut line at -1. He MUST make the cut if he has ANY plans for the FedEx Cup...he is right on the bubble now....COME ON, Dude!!! Kraft and Higgs toast.

Higgs got to 3 under and makes the cut. He's only 6 shots off the lead so who knows what the weekend might bring? Austin needed birdie on his final hole but instead made double bogey, missing the cut. Kelly is at one under and will play the weekend

Hurting for Smotherman...he was right there, he could taste it...choked hard. He will learn and I think he has a bright future.

Kelly finishes minus 2 today and minus 5 for the week, currently T-55th. Harry is 5 under today after 3 birdies and an eagle at the par 5 fifth hole. He's at minus 6 and T-50th with 3 holes to play
