Thats a pretty good starting place. If we can beat Maryland on the road could be in an interesting spot for TCU.

Winning out in the non-conference schedule would be amazing and definitely grab national attention. 23 is an awesome start.

at 23, SMU is the highest ranked non power conference team as well.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

shows these polls are popularity contests. I mean, how many of these coaches have actual time to watch teams? It's unreasonable to think they will provide a top 25 ranking that is accurate outside of popularity and perceptions. We don't have any credit on that regard so folks will doubt SMU until we beat Maryland, the toads, etc.
