I split it with you on the 'vard next year since you've been so understanding about the seat situation.

Man, in HS there was a Bru-Crus drive through that had this great deal of a tall boy six pack of Keystone Light for $1.99. Used to load up on those every Friday after school. I had this great fake ID. Wait. Did I just say that? Who is this? Hang up. Hang up. I don't know you. Never call back again. PRANK CALLER! PRANK CALLER!

When I was in law school, a bunch of us went on a road trip to Nags Head, NC. After two straight days of rain, we had gone through, I am not making this up, 24 cases of beer. In desperation we went on a beer run and got Red White and Blue Beer. For those of you who don't know, RWB was made by Pabst but wasn't good enough to get the Pabst label. $1 a six pack. We were good for another two days. Needless to say there was definitely a stench in the beach house. In addition to cheap beer, I think we dined on such fine cuisine as hot dogs, nachos, pork and beans, and potato chips and dip since it was raining too hard to barbecue.

We made a freshman trip to Austin for the SMU/UT game. Had 7 people including a designated driver. Limited on space and with fear of being stopped, we kept the beer in a cooler in the trunk. About every 3 miles it was "I need a beer"...3 miles "I need to pee"...3 miles"I need a beer"...etc...it took approximately 7 hours to get to Austin. Great trip!!!

That's awesome. Isn't funny how open containers were allowed and not a big deal at all - many, many Aus-Dal trips with beer consumed in large doses. Or that one road trip to New Orleans for mardis gras. Man, good times.

Sounds like we need to have a good old fasioned taste test on the BLVD at the first home game. We can pick which is the best and worst of the really cheap beers(like it really matters). Some possible candidates:
Meister Brau (which should have its name changed to Scheizer Brau)
Milwaukee's Beast - aka "The Beast"
Keystone Light - The Cadillac of Cheap Beers
Schlitz - Go visit Bone Daddy's and enjoy a Schlitz beer can chicken
Lone Star - Armadillo [deleted]?
Dixie - The King of the Skunk Beers
Miller High Life - It may cost a buck a case more but it is still prett darn cheap.
Class of '91

I think "The Champagne Of Beers" easily wins that contest.

Now THIS is my kind of thread. I am suprised noone has mentioned Pearl Light in the discussion. I agree DickerJames, Highlife takes that contest but I think PBR needs to be included in the sample set as well.
Remember in highschool where beers were the most valuable commodity anyone could have and at a house party you wanted to have the most random beer ever so no one could take one of yours and claim it as theirs? Always stayed away from Nati and Keystone for this exact reason. Stay klassy with a nice Red Dog long neck. Now that is a "premium" beer.

The best of the cheap beers isn't even on your list above. Weighing in at I think 7.00 a twenty pack when I was in undergrad was Schaefer Light.

There used to be a restaurant here in DC, that had every beer known to man. The absolute worst beer ever made without peer is Old Frothingslosh - which was made by the makers of Iron City Beer. It was the dregs of the Iron City Vats and you it left a ferrus aftertaste. The can was a classic though, it had a 400 lb. woman in a bikini. It was even worse than the short lived Billy Beer brewed in honor of Jimmy Carter's kid brother. I do like the idea of having a bad beer tasting contest on the boulevard.
