If we have on OC, Lashlee needs to give him play calling duties.

Everyone from top to bottom, needs to take a look at themselves.

This type of result should not be happening, under any circumstance.

Also why not use a time out right away? The first momentum since halftime and you are going to let the clock run out on your offense deep in their red zone?

Rhett had a bad night. Hopefully, heΓÇÖll watch the tape and see his numerous bad decisions and learn from them. His play calling needs improvement.

I really hated the blue pants and Dallas helmet. We have the BEST away uniform in the business - we looked like a Chad Morris team or worse yet, Tulsa.

IΓÇÖm hoping we can find 4 more wins. We need to go with Stone from here on out and let him learn.

Shaking My Head.

Early in that game I thought how good UCF would be if they had Tanner as their QB. Maybe he will decide to play another year and he could end up at UCF...but of course we made a very average QB look pretty good in that 2nd half. It's what we do best!

Lashlee = Chad 2.0…just slightly smoother.

Who didn't watch that game and think in the 1st quarter that we looked like the better team and were going to whip these guys? Opening kick, drive with tempo and Bailey coughs it up. We spot UCF 3 points and come right back playing with tempo and go up 7-3. Get a stop after missing out on what might have been a pick 6 but come right back until Rashee drops a ball after breaking wide open and probably thinking that was another TD. Then UCF does a good job breaking tempo which including one of their DBs faking an injury to stop play. Through it all we go in up 3 at half with double the yardage UCF was able to gain.

Then it all falls apart and we remember that "We are SMU" and we do what we do, i.e., completely fall apart and make mistake after mistake so we can leave with our usual blowout defeat to a good team at their place. If they weren't dropping passes or potential INTs we were drawing penalties to make sure we killed any promising scoring drive.

And we thought NIL had allowed us to field a competitive roster and that we actually may have found our coach of the future. Theoretically this team can regroup and win out to get to the AAC Championship Game but does anyone believe that is possible after tonight's debacle? This was a gut punch that will test our team's character. Do they fold up and finish with a losing record or do they come out to prove they really are a pretty talented bunch? I will be watching as I'm sure all the loyalists on this forum will be because like they say, misery loves company

I'll reserve judgements until I sleep on it. Very disappointing. Drops and othrr mistakes made it look worse. UCF made necessary adjustments -- kudos to them.

I'm weirdly eager for the Navy game to arrive. Hoping our guys come out angry.

I can't imagine this team playing any worse than they did last night. Will be interesting to see how they respond
