Can you believe that receiver was so open?

Well, we can score but our defense is going to allow a lot of points in the coming games.

Give T.J. McDaniel credit for not making the same mistake twice. He watched that 1st onside attempt go right past him but jumped on that 2nd attempt before the ball went 10 yards

It's a win, I'm glad it's a win

Yeah, I know it's early....but I was expecting more from this coaching staff than what I have seen so far

does 6-6 get us to Frisco???

Navy finishes with a significant advantage on time of possession, twice as many 1st downs as our guys, more total yardage and runs more than twice the number of plays but SMU averaged over 9 yards per play on 48 plays. Lots of big plays as you would hope for against Navy.

Bottom line is that it's a much needed win. Next week determines whether this might still be a really successful season. Winning out at home would be a significant accomplishment against all odds

Tanner was spreading it around tonight. Not throwing to Rashee on every play. Kerley and Gofney had nice plays. D sold out for run. Weren’t ready for Navy to pass. Probably the best passer Navy has had in the option era.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Was really nice to have Kerley back and I love the games Goffney & Daniels had. Good to have more weapons in the passing game but if this team can't run the ball it could be a really disappointing finish to this season

to me, this team is frustrating to follow, i actually don’t like them (so far).

They can’t close out games, which i hate in teams.

Shoulda beat Maryland, couldn’t close it out
Shoulda been more competitive against TCU, couldn’t make the big plays or prevent the big plays to make it a more competitive game
Outplayed UCF in the 1st half, no fight in the 2nd half
Up 40-20 to Navy, we let them score last 2 TDs

This team seems to lack the dog in them…can’t put away opponents

These last 6 games, will any team be favored by more than a TD???….that means close games in the 4th…hope we are up to the task

You pretty much summed up my thoughts. SMU just cannot finish a game tough. Jig this continues the season will not go well.

Once we went up 40 to 20 we changed gears from playing to win on both sides of the ball to playing "not to lose." I understand being conservative to get the win. With that said the defensive scheme was working as was the offensive scheme, why change? Ok, defensively I understand changing into a prevent and bleeding clock. Offensively I also understand running the ball to force clock melt and timeouts. With all that said my primary concern remains clean play and game management by the staff. On to Cincinnati

Up 13 with 2-3 minutes to go, I guessed Lashlee wouldn’t put in Stone in case of a turnover. Ponies lost yards and effectively ran three times. Got the win.

Were any second teamers getting reps on defense?

The Navy QB was a pretty bad passer. One easy drop but Tanner had a couple dropped as well. Navy QB obviously manages the game well.

Good Navy fan support and good crowd overall. Beautiful night.

Refs didn’t want Peruna running again after his accident.

Cam Farrar played almost the whole game for Jimmy Phillips and was good.

Jaydon Jones played a lot and created good pressure. Had 1 take the backfield when I thought he'd ripped the guy's head off.

I agree that this team is not fun to watch for this fan. Even a 20 point leads in 4th is scary. God love 'em, but my expectations are 6-6 now. Hopefully, I am wrong and they find a way to run the ball and take the pressure off the QB/WRs.

Happy for a turnover free game and the win.
