I wouldn't go that far, but I sure wish Mordecai would step into his throws.

He certainly didn't disappoint with his performance today.

We may have a QB controversy on our hands.

I've been defending Tanner all year. He is a fine QB. With that said, if Preston starts today I believe we win the game. Was Tanner hurt all game trying to play through it? His throws seemed off so I'm guessing so. Preston is better than what I thought honestly. His throws needs a little work on timing but overall he is really really good. I wouldn't be upset if he started the rest of the season.

Preston may be a better overall total package... pass timing needs work but overall wow

Everybody's throws were off due to the wind.

Preston did better because he showed actually has the speed to take off and run on the zone read or a rush.

Maybe he should have started against the Cincinatti defense :?:
May the forth be with us.

Hope TM’s injury isn’t serious. Having said that, we need to let Stone get the playing time. TM was playing like a freshman today. Let’s start getting Stone ready for next year.

Was watching SMU today and flipping back and forth to watch Clemson (my other team) vs Syracuse. Clemson's starting QB struggled, they fell behind and coach made the change to go with FR QB Cade Klubnik about the same time Stone came into our game. Both teams seemed to have responded well to the QB changes and while Clemson pulled out their game, unfortunately Stone & Co came up short. Clemson coach said post game he would stick with the more experienced guy as his starter and I expect Lashlee will probably do the same if Tanner is available, but in both cases I think the incumbent is now on a very short leash...at least I hope so

I thought both QBs had happy feet and obviously they were under a lot of pressure the difference being that Preston is quick, can avoid sacks and can salvage plays with his feet but he showed he has a lot of room for improvement. If Tanner is dinged up, might be a good time to give Preston a complete game vs Tulsa. I'm thinking Tulsa might be favored and I expect another close game with both teams seasons on the line (in terms of any bowl hopes)

100% agree

I can think of several good reasons to start Preston, can only think of 1 reason to start Tanner….and that is ‘maybe’ the coaching staff feels Tanner gives us a better chance of bowling THIS year.

Guess what…i would rather give Preston invaluable experience at the expense of the Frisco Bowl.

I don’t want Preston’s 1st important start of his career to be next year. I want him to be experienced as for the first time in decades, we might actually have a legitimate shot at a football championship.

Start Stone. Camar needs 20 touches a game. And get other receivers involved. We need to see what we have if we are going to make any progress. Otherwise we are treading water and going no where.

And as I watch this tcu game, do you all think Sonny and staff would have done more with this roster?

I’d start Stone immediately and give Camar the starting job as well, with Levine spelling him occasionally. I’d run an occasional bubble screen with McDaniel. And I’d throw Maryland, Kerley, and Dixon the ball as much as I could.

Stone is the future. He’s Bueschele with an extra gear.
