Rice wins 42-41 in OT vs La Tech in Ruston Tulane hangs on to beat Memphis 38-28 UTSA beats UNT 31-27 in San Antonio UCF trails 17-3 @ ECU at the half
Re: Other games of interestGo KState!
Re: Other games of interestBut it's not even November yet!
Re: Other games of interestECU crushes UCF 34-13 proving how hard it is for even good teams in this conference to win on the road. ECU is much improved
Re: Other games of interestHave to give TCU credit for another strong 2nd half comeback out scoring K State 21-0 when it mattered most. Sonny has that bunch hitting on all cylinders but the frogs have some tough games remaining and standing in the way of what could become a very special season in Ft Worth. Sonny Dykes is proving to have been a good investment for TCU and I'm envious of what they have built over there. TCU still has games vs Texas Tech and @ Texas and @ Baylor in November but if they can win those games Sonny will make them feel really good about his having replaced Gary Patterson
Re: Other games of interest
No matter who replaced him, it was time for Patterson to move on. He refused to replaced staff members who were not cutting it, even though he was advised to do so. His coaching style had become more abusive towards players and staff alike, and you could see that the kids were tired of being yelled at, with no praise given. I'm sure he will have the Whorns at a fever pitch for the TCU game, which will make it the biggest Must-win game on the schedule. I can't imagine that even Texas would hire him into a coordinator position. It will be interersting to see where he winds up next year.
