OFFICIAL:TULSA PREDICTIONS & ROLL CALL

Postby ALEX LIFESON » Mon Oct 24, 2022 7:46 am

I would wager, besides family members and without the late great Paul Layne, the amount of Mustang fans making the trip will be minuscule...so I combined the threads.

For anyone following this program for an extended period of time, knows the weird-ness that comes with playing Tulsa. SMU is usually the game, they have circled on their schedule. They view SMU, similar to the way North Texas State does. Doesn't matter what their record is, they will be sky high for us. To say SMU has trouble beating them in the Black Hole of Tulsa, is an understatement. We haven't beaten them in the House of Pain, since Kyle Padron was a freshman in 2009. Ponies are a 3 point favorite, but, does any longtime Mustang fan, ever feel confidant about beating Tulsa....especially up there? Both teams are 1-2 in AAC play and 3-4 overall, evenly matched with Tulsa having the home field advantage on Homecoming. Ponies win this game and who knows what could happen down the stretch...Ponies lose this game and ditto, in a very bad way. Well, what say you Mustang fans and who is brave enough, to once again make that trip to Death Valley?

PS starts, SMU runs the RPO. Teams have no film on us with this offense so we win by 14.

This should be a win whether we have fans or not. I see it like 45-21 SMU. SMU fan attendance 75 people.

Turning it into a fun family weekend getaway. 3 great breweries to hit as well with Marahal brewing, American Solera and Heirloom.

Do they make any good Belgian style beers? I'm only aware of Belgium, Colorado and Dallas breweries.

Not necessarily those 3, but some may make a Belgian style now and then. Eerie ales in the downtown area of Tulsa made true to style Belgian beers. Worth a stop for sure.

Whatever the medical status is for Tanner, I would be shocked, if Rhett names a starter. Make the Golden Showers, prepare for 2 quarterbacks.

I will never get past the extreme disappointment I felt when SMU lost to USC in the regionals there. We were at least a top 8 team. What a gigantic letdown!

I to this day have yet to return Tulsa since that heart wrenching game. That was Moody north. I will never understand why semi didn't take that shot instead of passing it to a young shake.

One of the worst feelings in my life (so far).

Ditto, still in therapy because of that disaster.
