I'd be surprised if Mordecai doesn't start (assuming he's healthy) but he could be one hit away from turning this season over to Preston and I do think that regardless of Tanner's health, Lashlee might be more inclined to go to Preston if we fall behind and Tanner is playing poorly. Tanner showed against Navy that he's a running threat, too and I'd love to have 2 QBs who can add that dimension. Maybe next year with Jennings backing up Stone?

Tanner has good straight line top end speed. Preston has more of an immediate burst and mobility. I'll take Preston's version of speed all day as it saves sacks and turns 3 yard losses into 5 yard gains

This is exactly what Rhett said in his recent interview. I think there is good reason to play Stone in a 2 quarter back system against Tulsa given the strength of their pass defense.
