Re: Houston game thread
I've felt that Mordecai rushes his passes and the ball sails on him, especially in big games. But he has been spot on today. He's passes are darn near perfect. Let's hope this continues in the second half because it might come down to who has the ball last. This is fun.

teams combined for 800 yards and 91 points in that half. Has to be a single game record for SMU

Re: Houston game thread
Tanner has already tied his single game record of 7 TD passes. That one looks ready to be broken

Re: Houston game thread
Redding appears to have gone down with an injury after getting into position to tie the single game TD record held by Emmanuel Tolbert and Courtland Sutton. Ben had 3 and the record is 4

I hope we keep up the intensity in the 2nd half and don’t start plying not to lose.
Long live Inez Perez!

Re: Houston game thread
SMU ran 49 offensive plays in that half and single game record is 81. That record is in jeopardy if our guys can sustain the intensity. If Tanner stays healthy he should easily surpass the season record for # of offensive plays run. He's at 577 vs Padron's record of 612

listening on the internet. these announcers are so pro houston. how can we permit that kind of bias in our own stadium?

Hate to say it but bias is earned.....take Bama for example.

Re: Houston game thread
This game started like a basketball game and I almost called 1st team to 56 wins. That's SMU so hopefully that will hold trueMustangs_Maroons wrote:First team to 80 wins??

Re: Houston game thread
disagree- you will not hear announcers at Oh. St., Michigan, Notre Dame express bias against the home team when they are playing at home. if they did they would never announce another game for that team. ' homer' announcers are almost a given at most schools- oh, remembered we are SMU and we do what SMU does. then they wonder why fans don't show up for games etc.

Re: Houston game thread
Hopefully that won't prove to be a stupid decision by the coaching staff to take the foot off the pedal and run a few more seconds of clock. Houston has ONLY been able to stop the run so far tonight and we play right to their strength after getting a stop
