Re: Other games of interestWe hung 35 points on the Frogs. Texas didn’t.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Other games of interest
Those were 2 pretty stout defenses playing with a lot of intensity. Have to give the frogs credit for going down to Austin and winning that game. Dream season so far for Sonny
Re: Other games of interest
Wow. Didn't realize this. Dykes, what a manipulator https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/tcu-h ... contender/
Re: Other games of interestSonny apparently was determined to get back to a P5 job (preferably in Texas) and may have realized it just wasn't happening at SMU...and he may not have wanted anything to do with the PAC 12 after the Cal experience. Lots of pressure at UT so he may have preferred Tech, TCU or Baylor for that matter. We just need to move on and appreciate what he did contribute here. Hopefully Lashlee can build a legacy here and keep the series with TCU as competitive as it has been in recent years.
Re: Other games of interestFor all the publicity that UT quarterback (ewers) gets, the reality is he’s living off from his time from high school. He couldn’t cut it at OSU and instead of staying on, he saw the writing on the wall that he would never be a starter there, then bolted and probably got more NIL money going back to UT. He was terrible last night. I’ve been impressed by the toads QB - the guy is playing really well in a very week B12 conference. I think TCU is probably fourth or fifth in the SEC, still really good but certainly not 4th in the country.
Re: Other games of interestI think a lot of us could have accepted his leaving and going to the whorens easier than shafting us and going to our cross town rivals.
Re: Other games of interest
I’m not sold on Ewers either...watched UT-Ok St, he was terrible in that game, 19/49 passing and 3 Ints lol, i wonder if Rhett recruited him in HS ![]() ![]() Future Mustang?????……not if Preston stays
Re: Other games of interestEwers hardly fits the SMU profile and would never see the field here
Re: Other games of interestAnd down the road in College Station Twitter is on fire. Knives are out for Jimbo’s staff. We’re bowl eligible. Aggies staying home.

Re: Other games of interest
Chandler Morris's injury forced Sonny to start Duggan. I always thought that Duggan was the better QB. TCU would not be undefeated with Morris starting. Chandler's misfortune was Sonny's blessing.
Re: Other games of interest
1,000% true on all counts. Blind squirrel finds an acorn. SD is luck, luck and more luck.
Re: Other games of interestDidn’t realize that the former SMU head coach was starting the son of his predecessor at SMU.
Re: Other games of interestSonny feeling better and better about his decision and now his "year one" at TCU is going to be tough to duplicate. With Tennessee's loss yesterday and Michigan/Ohio State about to bump someone out, TCU is in position to earn a Final Four spot with that win vs Baylor.
Meanwhile, in the wacky AAC, Houston bounces back and wins 42-3 @ ECU while Navy wins 17-14 @ UCF. Wouldn't have predicted either of those outcomes. Memphis warmed up for the finale @ SMU with a 59-0 win vs N. Alabama (who?) Tulane vs Cincinnati is shaping up as the AAC game of the year
