Did ANYBODY write a GOOD letter to DMN??

I am critical of their pre-game coverage of our football and basketball teams. I also think they cover UT recruiting too much.

What about post-game coverage?? You like to read about losses do you? Want other potential recruits and fans to read about losses, do you? No offense, but I wonder how much of a fan you really are with a desire for that kind of "let's air our failures" coverage.

And with the readership demographics being what they are based on population of alums, more coverage of UT recruiting is just simply logical.

I want them to cover our team if we win or lose. I am not comfortable with all of our losses, and I would welcome more local pressure on the programs. I am not ashamed of the team when we lose. At least recruits would know that the local community cares enough about the team to cover it.

I am sure the Austin American Statesman covered the 66-3 loss to UCLA a few years back.
