Wow he will be tough to replace after 15 years of winning and 11 bowl appearances, but I guess this is one of those "what have you done for me lately?" situations.

Good luck doing any better than Coach Ken finding players with 1400 SAT scores that are going to have to serve in the military.
Re: New look in Annapolis
It takes a special kid to play at the Service academies. Good news is that we might see a normal offense instead of that option offense that has chewed us up over the years.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

GET to serve
Amen to that!
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: New look in Annapolis
I'd expect another option coach at Navy. Some expressed similar relief when Paul Johnson left for Georgia Tech, until they found Niumatalolo. It's a system that allows undersized teams to compete against some more talented opponents.

Anybody else here serve? 8 years as an officer, 10th Mountain Division, Operation Enduring Freedom, infantry school, ranger school, airborne school, air assault school, etc. In other words the real "[deleted]." It's a choice, the choice is different today than it was during my time.

I didn't but my dad did in WW2. I have his card showing he participated in DDay.

U.S. Navy, LT(jg) Damage Control Officer on USS Firedrake (AE-14), ammunition ship, Viet Nam '69 & '70. Rearmed carriers and destroyers off coast of Nam.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
