Cole Beasley comes out of retirement

Post by PonyPride »

From ESPN.com:

Cole Beasley comes out of retirement, signs with Buffalo Bills

Alaina Getzenberg
ESPN

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Wide receiver Cole Beasley has come out of retirement to join his former team, signing to the Buffalo Bills' practice squad Tuesday. He helps at slot receiver and adds to an offense that has had inconsistent production at the position at times.

Beasley, 33, spent two weeks on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad before deciding to retire in October. He was active with Tampa Bay for two games, with four catches for 17 yards. His agent, Joel Turner, told ESPN in October that he was retiring after 11 seasons to "be with his family after playing 11 seasons and it's time to be a full-time dad and husband."

A sure set of hands and depth for the plyoffs.
Good Job Cole.

Then go back home and be a dad.

perhaps staying home with mama and the screaming kids wasn’t all it was cracked up to be? Cole was the only reason I watched the NFL for quite a long time

I’m guessing he means the numerous young people dying of heart conditions due to the vaccine as well as the fact that the majority dying of Covid now are vaccinated, but I can’t speak for him.

Yes that's exactly what I meant. Not to dredge it up again - but the unvaxed have a huge i told you so being delivered. Cole held his ground against immense pressure and now looks like the smart one.

Whether or not Beasley is a dumb arse doesn't seem to impact his ability to get an NFL contract. Good for him to make the money and play if that's what he wants.

It’s not a question of him being a dumb arse. It’s a question of him being quite admirable in standing up to what turned out to be a bunch of dumb arses. But agreed that it’s great he’s back in the NFL.
