I acquired a non-exclusive license through assignment from a recent acquisition.

Yes, but you'll need to send me a quarter every time you use it. I may use the money to upgrade mrydel's seats next year.

I will not buy into any of this. Downy is a fabric softener, not a detergent. If you can not get your facts straight, get off the board.

I still think we need to answer the unresolved question in the allegations....where/and what kind of burgers were they? I think it is disingenious to give so much credit to the various detergent companies without also extolling the virtues of the burger joint.

where did they get the burgers?
What kind were they? Did they have cheese, possibly bacon?
What kind of condiments were put on top, ketchup, mustard, maybe a little lettuce and tomato?

The world awaits answers to these important questions.

Very good observation, mrydel, as fabric softener is clearly allowed under the NCAA regulations.

But it must be used in conjuntion with a detergent. This was recently proven by my step son who began do the household laundry and did not realize the difference. Trust me, clothes do not get clean with just fabric softener.

May I add that I am happy to get this thread into a constructive discussion.

I'll bet Max's maid does Matt's clothes for him. So out of touch, those rich people.

Let's be honest about our expectations and make all new coaches sign a Walt Alston deal. One year contract. At the end of one year both parties decide if they want to stay together. If they do sign another one year contract. Walt Alston signed one year contracts for something like 24 years when he managed the Dodgers. That 95 year old high school coach would sign that in a minute, because he's on borrowed time already.

Unfortunately for us, Bamba ordered a bean sprout tofu burger on whole wheat with fruit from Cafe Express and Morris ordered a triple with cheese and all fixings including bacon and whatasized the fries with a side of gravy to dip the fries in from Whataburger...........

I think we make a little too much out of the "2 years and gone". It is stated, regardless of severity that Tubbs was released for NCAA violations. 1 year is too long if that is true. A coach coming in is not nearly as concerned as to how long we give him (although that would be a factor) as he would be with how long will his contract be for. If we give a 4 or 5 year deal, the coach should feel comfortable with his future as long as he stays clean.

Should SMU have divulged more prior to firing if there was/is more...sure. Should Max Williams be banned...sure. But the argument as to only giving 2 years should not be of any importance IF the release was due to NCAA violations.

I personally have said that if Tubbs committed any REAL violations, then shame on him and good riddance. I can't speak for the other so called "Tubbs Supporters", but from what I have read on this board they feel the same way. The problem is with the people that wanted him gone no matter how or why.

The fact is he IS gone. And yes, my point is that our new coach will have us playing above .500 from our current 13-16 record. That is a decent improvement considering he will be losing his best player and only proven scorer. His second season I expect the coach to build further upon that.

I really feel like Evans or Doh would both be great candidates for us and would drastically improve the program. And yes DickerJames, either one of those guys would have had us above .500 last year- no problem. And yes even you could have led us to a 4-10 record in conference. Hell, I coulda have rolled the ball out and say "go get em fellas" and we could win 4. Do you really think that roster was only capable of that poor conference showing? Please think about that before you respond.

Then why would you want Evans, he was one game under .500 in eight years at his last gig?

get ready JT, now he is going to try to paint you that you are against Evans. Your simple rhetorical question is a good one. If a guy goes under .500 with all the resources of Arizona State, what makes you feel good about him winning at SMU? Of course nothing is as simple as Icon wants to make it.

Given who I was responding to, I thought about that kind of inept misinterpretation of my post right after I was finished. If we cannot get Terry or Evans in here to do some damage control we might as well padlock Moody.

I will give MIcon one prop, though. He's the only one of the Tubbs haters who has come out and admitted the true reason why Tubbs was fired after 2 years--not winning enough with the bare cupboard he inherited. Which is different from the stated reason of burgers and Cheer.
