Re: Mordecai is transferring
For what it's worth:
NFL scouts had a variety of opinions during the season about Mordecai. One told me he saw Mordecai going somewhere between Round 4 and 6.
Another told me "undrafted free agent, but he could stick as a backup for 10-12 years, and you can have a great career doing that."
Most suggested Rounds 6-7.

Re: Mordecai is transferring
I wish Tanner well. He fought hard for the Mustangs for two years. He set several passing records. And helped us win a bunch of games.
Good luck young man.
Good luck young man.

Me too. It has been a pleasure to watch Tanner play. I'll root for him wherever he goes.
I really shouldn't drink and type.
Re: Mordecai is transferring
Congratulations Tanner! It was special watching you perform in the smu offense! Good luck

Hopefully an opportunity for Tanner to go earn some NIL money and play another year in college as there are no guarantees he will make it as a professional

What a complete joke.
The guy has been in college longer than Bluto from Animal House.
Some student-athlete.

I will have an opinion on Mordecai transferring after I see to where. Who’s in line to start in Fort Worthless post-Duggan, by the way?

Re: Mordecai is transferring
He will probably have the challenge of playing against tougher competition week after week in conference play and also get a lot of practice playing in cold weather...assuming he earns the starting job in Madison
Re: Mordecai is transferring
I think the AAC was plenty challenging.

And he broke school records and showed himself to be one of the top QBs in the AAC. We'll see how he does against Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Ohio State and in a road game at Washington State...again assuming he earns the starting nod. Otherwise, I hope he's getting a sweet NIL deal and Wisconsin has a grad program he's interested in. If he excels at Wisconsin he might be much better prepared to try and make some NFL rostermtrout wrote:I think the AAC was plenty challenging.

If he has a chance. There are at least two other top quality signal callers whom he’ll compete with, including the freshman from The Woodlands.
