This is a big time land for the Mustangs, started 39 games for the Hurricanes. NIL played a big part in this, if you haven't joined, please do what you can.

Clark, Parr & White should help bolster the OL but we also need more of the younger guys on the roster to step up and become more reliable contributors. With the current stable of RBs it sure would be nice to have a reliable 2 deep OL and a strong running game to take some pressure off our young QBs

So, BUS (or whomever), what does our starting OL look like now, personnel-wise? Care to predict?

Are we getting closer to 2-deep territory and giving the youngsters another year to add 30 lbs?

Yes, I like what I see but the details are a Jason B. question.

What I do see is a line that might just get us back to Pony Express days. One line plays 1st and 3rd quarters, and the second line plays the 2nd and 4th quarters.

Really good players, that end up dominating the line in the second half.

Now the same can be said for capable rotations on the D-line. Get rid of the I'm the man idea and band together as brothers to win the battle, the war, the championship.

That is what I see Lash and staff doing.

I'm guessing:

White and Bryant at tackles (very large human beings), the future is PJ Williams, need another yung'un to step up for depth.
Osbourne and Parr at guards (lots of competition at the guard spot opposite Osbourne).
Clark at Center, Hickman a very nice depth piece.

The recruitment and growth of the oline is one of the most exciting aspects of this recruiting/transfer season. I hope these big guys will be able to mesh and that the back ups will get some gametime experience and continue to mature.

If we can open holes for these backs to get to the second level we will be even more scary good on offense. My only concern is if Levine gets 10 yards downfield without being touched he'll make a U turn to run over somebody.

Hahaha!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

If Tyler gets 10 yards of steam built up without being touched, I pity the DB who has to make that 1st contact
