PAC 12 Future Schedule

Post by Rla1022 »

After reading an article the other PACC12 thread, I've been pondering about football schedules in a 12-team conference where each team would play 10 conference games. If given the choice, I would opt for USC's 2022 schedule over UCLA's. What about you ?

As for non-conference games, I believe it would be ideal for SMU to maintain its matchups against Oklahoma. However, should we continue the rivalry with TCU? I think so , but do continue to consider playing against Rice, Navy, or Tulane instead, especially if they stay in the American Athletic Conference?

Personally, I do not mind bidding farewell to games against UCF and Cincinnati ?

I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to attend football games in Eugene and San Diego. These cities have a rich football culture and I cannot wait to immerse myself in the atmosphere of a Pac-12 game at these locations.

It is doubtful that OU will actually ever play a game in Ford despite the current contract. That is more than likely a place-holder in their schedule and they will buy us out of the commitment.

Really almost all of the PAC locations would be fun to visit. As opposed to the Big 12 games...which basically are all in sucky locations with exception of Houston.

With the exception of Corvallis and Pullman the PAC schools are great weekend visits. Especially when it is still 99 degrees in Dallas.

Corvallis sits at at the southern terminus of what is arguably the most beautiful wine country that exists in the States. And we’re not talking swill. It’s a short drive to what is arguably the prettiest, wildest stretch of ocean coast as exists in the States. And it’s not a bad little town in its own right. Corvallis beats 10,000 Stillwaters.

Corvallis sounds a million times better than Dallas, where the only thing within about an hour to get outdoors is the depressing Cedar Ridge Preserve.

I've spent time in Oregon. The Corvallis area is beautiful but the hotel, dining, and entertainment amenities don't match Portland or even Eugene. I'm pretty sure that the Beavers are playing in a heavily renovated stadium and I'm interested to see it. The old configuration only seated 26K.

Love Corvallis. Prefer it to Eugene. Cannot comment on the Game Day atmosphere
though I'm sure it's a good time.

Too bad the Cougs took that Big XII invite. Don't be too jealous.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I know right.
It’s certainly less exciting than planning around attending and watching UCF and Cincinnati .

Also, that's fairly typical on a fan message board website. Fans tend to think about what could be for their teams — it's part of ... wait for it ... being a fan.

I'm sure our home games against UT, TCU, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and trips to Baylor and Kansas State will hold us over.

Since we didn't get an invite to the Bog 12, I have to give up my dreams of going to Manhattan, Kansas and Waco :( .
