Honestly, we probably only really need a kicker who can be 99% accurate on extra points. I don't see us kicking a lot of FGs this season since we will be scoring a lot more TDs.
As far as punters, as long as they can net 35-40 yards for us we should be ok since we should be able to get at least to midfield before we stall on the drives when we don't score.
I'm not too concerned about our kicking situation.

Morstead can punt.

Well, I will be shocked.
K/O is one thing-- but throwing away the HS kicking tee is another.
McMurtry was one of the best kickers in the ncaa last year-- I doubt a HS player will make us forget him next season.
I agree! Most people did not realize how exceptional McMurtray was--including our coaching staff. He has worked out for the Cowboys last week, and the Patriots and many other NFL teams are showing interest. In addition, Greg Taussig, who transfered after his Freshman year to Univ of Florida appears to be the the front runner for kickoffs and long FGs for the Gators this year--we could have used him for the next 3 years.

Not to doubt you, Stentman, but you got me curious with the Gator plug.
Tausigg must have really improved in the last couple of weeks because of the SIX kickers listed on the current UF 2006 roster, the name Taussig is NOT found.
YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
after leaving the hilltop, he transfered to junior college in Florida--he can not practice with the team until the summer--however, he was recruited by UF as well as offered scholarships at UCF and Nebraska. Log on to www.oneononekicking.com to check out his performance at a recent combine.
