Stanford and Cal in a conference/division with North Texas State?

I'll admit that Tulsa, UNT, and UTSA don't bring much to the West. But if you add Navy, Temple, or even Tulane you add more miles for the Pac-4. Would they go for that? Perhaps Jim Williams lineup of "Stanford plays a pool of Cal, OSU, WSU, SMU, RICE, TULANE, USF, Navy, and Temple each year with the rest of the conference rotating on a yearly basis" would be better.

Or perhaps those 10 schools should form a new "football only" conference with the other sports remaining in their respective conferences. There is precedent for that and Oliver Luck had a hand in it. Is it significant that Luck and Aresco are meeting so soon after Luck got his new assignment?
