Question for the Webmaster - why is the coog high kid continually allowed to be on here? His sole purpose is to troll the board.

Agreed. And his posts are completely bipolar. One minute he acts like he is on our team, the next it is full-troll-mode.

Not to argue the point, but he has never posted anything constructive on here.

Not to mention the fact that SMU foregoing the TV revenue, the added exposure and donations and other financial windfalls that come with playing, and maybe even competing with, national title winners, contenders, and historical programs like Clemson, Florida State, Miami and others in the ACC is infinitely better than the pittance UH is being overpaid and over promised to play Tech and Iowa State every year.

And there is absolutely no question that the ACC is the better basketball conference compared to B12, no matter what those blowhards say. Kansas is elite of the elite, Baylor and Tech have had some nice runs, but by no means elite programs on the whole, and Houston brings a recent run of success, and a short stint in the 70’s and 80’s of some good basketball, but otherwise is pretty pedestrian. ACC is UNC, Duke, Wake, NcState, UVA, Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville, GaTech, and other blue blood to above average basketball programs. It’s not even a reasonable debate. There may be a particular year that the B12 has a better lineup that year, but for overall basketball prestige, it’s ACC and B1G then everyone else.

We're getting 31 mil a year while SMU gets nothing. That's the key difference.

We are giving up peanuts (7 million) to be in the 3rd best conference. Other revenue streams will flow like never before. I realize a degree from 7-11 U makes that hard to understand.

Such a small-minded comment.

We have been effectively blackballed since our DP, which by today's NIL and the public school standards isn't worth mentioning.

After pursuing relevancy in the WAC, Big East, CUSA, and AAC, our regional P5 conference hasn't wanted to give us the time of day. We have been steadily improving without any help, including in recruiting, a quarter of a billion dollars in P5-level facilities, and coaching.

What were our options to restore ourselves to our historical role and legacy? Writing checks is our only reasonable choice; no thanks to our former SWC conference mates, who don't want us into the club. If we land in the ACC, we earned it by our decision to jump at the chance with the tools available. Strong academics, terrific location, and the commitment of our major donors.

Apparently tonight’s ACC President’s meeting/vote canceled due to UNC campus shooting?

There’s no use trying to reason with someone whose biggest daily decision is what flavor to put in the slurpee machine that day.

I was simply trying to reiterate the question to webbie: Why allow the troll access. Perhaps that question will trigger the block again.

Vote postponed due to reported death of faculty member on UNC campus.

Far greater things happening than our vote for membership. Praying for that Tarheel family.
