Good opening game and Ponies 1-0 as expected but games next week @ OU and later @ TCU will dictate whether this becomes a special season for SMU football.

Rogers looks like he has a tired leg with all the KOs, PATs and FG attempts. Now has 2 kicks out of bounds. Wish we had more depth in the kicking game and he didn't have to do it all.

Attendance remains an embarrassment for our program compared to other power conference teams. It was back in the Pony Express era as well so hopefully things will improve as the season wears on and especially as an ACC member

I was a bit busy during the game but I felt like the announcers were very pro SMU and ACC, several times they mentioned we looked like a P5 team already. DonΓÇÖt know if thatΓÇÖs company line, ESPN product hype, payoff, or legit. But IΓÇÖll take it!!

About what I expected from the offense. Do enough to get up big and slow play the rest. No need to give UO any film on the new QB, WRs, and RBs. Really impressed with the defensive play. Punters from both teams laid into a few of those punts.

Impressive debut for true FR Alex Kilgore with 2 sacks and Nwokobia did #23 proud as the leading tackler for SMU today (5 solo and 1 assist)

Doesn't Jason B. typically share some of his post game thoughts? I suspect he will say (among other things) that the D line is as good as advertised, and that the O line under-performed, especially in certain run blocking scenarios.

Did Chatman ever get in on the offensive side of the ball? I saw Stone Eby was in on several plays lined up as a FB or even as an extra O lineman or blocking TE at least once. He looked pretty effective considering he is playing a position(s) for the first time.

Only problem was when Eby came in the defense knew where to focus, i.e., just follow Eby's lead because the ball carrier will be right behind him. La Tech's D stayed low and jammed those runs up! Might see that formation as a decoy against OU?
