Re: VIDEO: Lashlee, McGill, Bailey after SMU falls to OULong day up and back. Fun times on the bus and I have never been to a game with 84,ooo people. It took forever to get the bus 1/2 mile. Got to bed at 2 am.
Game was fun to watch. The D was much better, bigger, faster.... but they were put in some unsavory situations. Two turnovers against a good team, and you usually lose. "O", did not look as I expected. The coach is letting this go for now, but our QB was over amped. Too many open receivers and then overthrows. He will settle down. At least Lashlee said he had some things to work on. Not a total pass. Let's learn and play the full bench next week. What a fantastic day today. Enjoy and remember to come by Bishop and Binkley and look for the NIL Donation drop box. Peace G Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: VIDEO: Lashlee, McGill, Bailey after SMU falls to OUWith some guys dinged up at OU it will be good to be playing Prairie View next week. Hopefully more backups will get reps so we are better prepared as the season wears on
Re: VIDEO: Lashlee, McGill, Bailey after SMU falls to OUAlso good that tcu is going to be playing what I suspect will be a pissed off houston next week.
Re: VIDEO: Lashlee, McGill, Bailey after SMU falls to OULike SMU, OU went hard into the transfer portal and really overhauled its defense. A lot of people up here were upset with the D last year, especially considering Venables' reputation as some kind of a defensive mastermind. So I don't know that I'm worried yet about our offense, because I think there's a chance that OU's defense is just a lot better than it was last year.
If our 2023 team played against OU's 2022 defense, there's a chance we win. I am thrilled with the improvement of SMU's defense this year. That D will play well in the AAC. ![]()
