Hired as assistant coach at Melissa (Texas) high school

Love having another former Mustang player going into coaching and staying "close to home". Maybe we'll see Nic on the SMU staff at some point in the future. I've always liked PGs as basketball coaches, catchers as baseball coaches and QBs as football coaches

Let's hope Nic is as successful in coaching as he was as a player. Would love to see him on the SMU staff in the future and possibly becoming the Mustangs HC at some point. For now I'm hoping Lanier might be the guy that can restore the program to being competitive at a Top 25 level

Great opportunity to convince some of the top DFW area kids to "stay home" and play against Duke, UNC, Syracuse, Virginia, etc...
